Rooted in the past - with pride and tradition
Virgil is located along Route 64 (North Avenue) in the far western area of Kane County. Established as a farming hamlet in the late
19th century, Virgil continues to be a community firmly rooted in its rural traditions. A central
housing area and the Sts. Peter and Paul Church are surrounded by
farmland and a Kane County Forest Preserve area (acquired in 2006).
